Andy Cooney is the last of the great Irish-American show band singers. He started as a teenager with the Paddy Noonan Show Band and with them recorded the Irish Wedding Song. This has become a standard for Irish weddings and is one of the all- time best-selling Irish recordings. He has just released his first live album, Andy Cooney Live - An Evening of Irish Classics. It was recorded at the Renaissance Center near Nashville, and features all his hits: Boston Rose, Irish Wedding Song, Rattlin' Bog, Galway Shawl and Daughter of Mine as well as 12 other songs.
