The Saw Doctors
The Saw Doctors are sometimes included in the list of Celtic rock bands, but in truth they just play good ole rock and roll, written and performed by an immensely talented Irish band. The Saw Doctors two lead singers, Davy Carton and Leo Moran, write almost all their own material and it’s firmly situated in and around their hometown of Tuam in County Galway. They had huge hits in the nineties with the songs I Useta Love Her and N 17. Other brilliant rocking songs include: The Green and Red of Mayo, Clare Island, Hay Wrap, A World of Good, Chips, Still the One, Galway and Mayo, Joyce Country Ceili Band and Tommy K. While they tour extensively in England and the USA, their roots, their lyrics and their music remain rooted in Galway. Leo Moran claims his greatest dream is to score the winning goal for the Galway team.
