The nine rogues who make up this double CD represent the best of Irish ballad singers over the past forty years. All of them, at one time or another, were part of various folk groups; but they did put their individual stamp on the 36 songs in this collection. This album is a follow-up to Legends of Irish Folk - Raised On Songs and Stories which was collected to celebrate a one week performance by Finbar Furey, Ronnie Drew, Paddy Reilly and Liam Clancy at Dublin’s Gaiety Theatre.
